Right after Good Call launched, we heard Cowboy Hunters’ “Mating Calls” and posted it immediately. The lyrics were hilarious, the videos were gloriously DIY, and within seconds it was clear: these two were having more fun than just about anyone else. It’s punk—maybe not your older brother’s idea of punk, but definitely punk. We can’t think of anyone else doing vocal call and response quite like this. Add that dirty, distorted bass, and we have a feeling Adam Yauch (RIP) of the Beastie Boys would have loved them.
We interviewed them in August 2025, but somehow let the conversation slip under the radar. Their recent Live From The Beach House clips sent us back to it.We asked if they’d ever play shows in America. They said we have “a real terrible cowboy problem” and they’d be too busy handling it. We also learned that success means meeting Mr. 305 (Pitbull). Our questions weren’t great, but their answers were.

We hope you make it to America to play some shows. Is there anywhere in particular that you'd like to play in the states?
Not sure we’d have time for many shows if we came over tbh u guys have a real terrible cowboy problem over there we’d be pretty busy handling that.
What's been the biggest non-music inspiration for you lately?
Jammy dodger shots. Crazy Frog Racer.
