“propane” is the Scottish artist’s first new music of 2026, co-produced with longtime collaborator Junkmail.
Scottish-born and now based in London, singer, songwriter, producer and visual artist kaeto makes music that draws on trip-hop, dance, punk and alt-pop. Following her debut mixtape INTRO and tours with HAIM, Lauren Mayberry, Bleachers and The Last Dinner Party, she joins Partisan Records with “propane.” Made with her friend Maisy Banks, the video takes her to an ice hockey practice and onto a rodeo bull—pretty good settings for a song about trying to keep it together. Drawing on her experience navigating relationships as an autistic person, the track explores how affection and unintended hurt can come from the same place, while the video finds a playful way to show that struggle to stay steady. And yes, she made the bikini herself.
