Directed by Quadeca and Brendon Burton, the video accompanies his new album, Life 1, out now via X8 Music.
Quadeca has come a long way from uploading FIFA videos and raps to YouTube. The LA-based singer, rapper and producer’s new album, Life 1, moves between art-pop, rap, R&B and folk while exploring growing up, heartbreak and the idea that life is everyone’s first attempt. None of us have done this before.
For “The hero never dies,” Quadeca and co-director Brendon Burton put that uncertainty into a much stranger situation: a kidnapping, a bag of cash and an escape that doesn’t quite settle things. Heroes become villains, captors join the party and nobody stays in control for long. Everybody’s having a good time until they aren’t. Watch below. Life 1 is out now via Quadeca’s own label, X8 Music. DIY!!!!!
