The Houston-born artist makes his full-length debut with a record rooted in romance and nostalgia

Love Spells has released his debut album, LOVE IS THE LAW, via RCA Records, alongside a new video for "Don't Touch."

Born Sir Taegen Harris, the Houston artist has been carving out his own lane over the past year with a blend of dream pop, indie rock, and new wave. Many of the ideas behind LOVE IS THE LAW trace back to nights spent at Houston's iconic Numbers nightclub, where post-punk and synth-pop became as much a part of his musical education as the records he grew up with.

The album was made with a cast of collaborators that includes Rick Nowels, Rodaidh McDonald, Danny Parra, Boy Deco, Brad Hale, and Alex Craig.

Directed and choreographed by Shay Latukolan (Jungle, ROSALÍA, Childish Gambino), the video for "Don't Touch" strips things back to a single setting, letting movement do most of the talking. It's another piece of the visual world Love Spells has been building around LOVE IS THE LAW.
