The “Residue” video reunites A. G. Cook with Charli XCX, alongside a high-profile appearance from Kylie Jenner and other figures connected to The Moment. Directed by Aidan Zamiri, “Residue” ties directly into The Moment, a mockumentary starring Charli XCX that premiered at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival and was released in North American theaters on January 30, 2026 in partnership with distributor A24. The film’s ensemble cast includes Rosanna Arquette, Kate Berlant, Jamie Demetriou, Hailey Benton Gates, Isaac Powell, Rachel Sennott, Alexander Skarsgård and others alongside Charli and Cook, with Jenner among the notable cameo appearances. Cook also composed the full score, and the soundtrack album The Moment (The Score) was released via A24 Music on January 30, 2026, featuring the singles “Dread” (December 12, 2025), “Offscreen” (January 15, 2026) and “Residue” (January 27, 2026) in advance of the full score release.
