Destroy Boys return with “Hysteria,” the first single from their fifth album, FOIE GRAS, arriving March 5, 2027, via Epitaph Records. Taking aim at economic inequality and the pressure to accept a life of barely getting by, the song introduces a record concerned with how much we’re expected to swallow.

The accompanying video brings that unease into focus. Co-directed by guitarist Violet Mayugba and Vince Lopez, it draws inspiration from The Mandela Catalogue, Backrooms and The Shining, connecting the song’s frustrations with the disorienting world of analog horror.

Formed in 2015 by Mayugba and vocalist/guitarist Alexia Roditis, Destroy Boys have spent a decade expanding their teenage DIY beginnings into a sound with room for both personal upheaval and political anger. Produced by Zach Tuch, FOIE GRAS follows 2024’s Funeral Soundtrack #4 and features My Chemical Romance’s Frank Iero on “Behavioral Euthanasia.” Its title uses force-feeding as a metaphor for the misinformation, consumerism and political messaging we absorb daily—and asks what happens when we refuse another helping.
