Quicksand's "Cool Guy" Finds the NYC Icons at the Top of Their Game

The latest single from their Equal Vision LP Bring On The Psychics proves Quicksand remain one of heavy music's most vital bands.

Quicksand have spent decades proving that influence and evolution don't have to be mutually exclusive. The NYC post-hardcore pioneers return with "Cool Guy," a driving new single that pairs the band's trademark intensity with a sharp dose of attitude. Directed by Jesse Korman, the accompanying video arrives ahead of Bring On The Psychics, Quicksand's first album in five years and the latest chapter in a career defined by reinvention. Now operating as a lean, dynamic three-piece, the band continues to expand the sound they helped create while refusing to become a nostalgia act.
