Worth The Fight

SIIICKBRAIN returns with “PALO SANTO,” her first release of the year — a song shaped by her love of New York’s rave underground and the emotional volatility that defines her writing. Built on distorted club production, warehouse-bred electro, and maybe a slight nod to Death Grips’ intensity, it feels tightly wound, with her vocals slicing through with confrontational precision.

Directed by Raphaële Sohier, the video heightens that tension through stark, stylized imagery that blurs elegance and menace. An underground fashion sensibility runs throughout — something that feels intrinsic to SIIICKBRAIN’s world — mirroring the song’s collision of rave euphoria and old-school industrial grit.

The release follows her 2023 debut My Masochistic Mind via Lowly Records, a project that cemented her position at the intersection of abrasion and experimental pop. After collaborations with Skrillex, WILLOW, Maggie Lindemann, and Nadya Tolokonnikova, SIIICKBRAIN leans further into club culture and cathartic songwriting, signaling a darker, more immersive chapter. If “PALO SANTO” is the entry point, the next chapter promises something even more unfiltered — built for the dance floor, but born from confrontation.
