Nate Amos previews his forthcoming album The Singer in My Band with a handmade animated world.

Nate Amos’ This Is Lorelei returns with “Oh No Now My,” the latest single from his forthcoming album The Singer in My Band, out September 11 via Matador Records.

Amos, also one half of Water From Your Eyes, has been releasing music as This Is Lorelei for more than a decade, building up an extensive catalog of albums, EPs and home-recorded releases along the way. The project reached a wider audience with 2024’s Box for Buddy, Box for Star, which was later expanded with contributions from MJ Lenderman, Waxahatchee and Jeff Tweedy.

Now signed to Matador, Amos is heading into the next chapter of This Is Lorelei with The Singer in My Band, an 11-track album written while he was on tour and engineered, produced and performed by Amos himself.

“Oh No Now My” arrives with a handmade stop-motion video by animator Julia Fernandez, who spent weeks building the puppets and sets before bringing the miniature world to life frame by frame.
