Los Angeles alt-punks Death Lens return with “Waiting to Know,” a new single and video featuring Ian Shelton of Militarie Gun, and it feels massive. The song drops just ahead of their upcoming album What’s Left Now?, out this week on April 24 via Epitaph Records. Directed by Joél Verges, the video is dialed in—Bryan Torres front and center, looking cool as hell, the band in matching suits, moving with a crew that looks like you’d want to be friends with, and just the right amount of slow motion.

The song centers on uncertainty—what Torres describes as “fear and acceptance sharing the same skin”—with Shelton’s feature turning that tension into something shared. Ian Shelton is kind of rapping here—and sounds great, bringing a grounded edge to the song.

The single follows earlier releases including “Power,” “Monolith,” “Drown,” and “Debt Collector,” continuing the lead-up to What’s Left Now?. That balance carries through here, with “Monolith” offering an early look at the shift from cleaner guitar lines into something heavier.

What’s Left Now? comes out of a turbulent couple of years—extended touring, lineup changes, and a reset that brought in guitarist Ernie Gutierrez alongside Bryan Torres, Jhon Reyes, and Tony Rangel. The record pulls from both personal experiences and what’s happening around them, including the realities facing their communities, without separating the two.

Death Lens will mark the release with a free 21+ show at Zebulon on April 26, presented by Marshall.
