The Quiet, Confident Reset
TEED Redefines His Sound on the New Album Always With Me
Now operating simply as TEED, the artist formerly known as Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs has entered a new era—one defined not just by technical mastery, but by intention. A UK native now rooted in the U.S., he’s spent over a decade shaping the edges of electronic music as a producer, songwriter, vocalist, DJ, label head, and conservatory-trained instrumentalist. His work has earned two GRAMMY nominations and taken him everywhere from London’s fabric to Colorado’s Red Rocks, including sold-out tours and a long list of collaborations with globally recognized creators. Across Platinum-certified releases, international radio presence, and remixes for artists like Bonobo, SG Lewis, Porter Robinson, The Blessed Madonna, ODESZA, Gorgon City, Lane 8, and others, TEED has consistently expanded the emotional and sonic boundaries of his world.
Always With Me, out now via Nice Age Records, marks the clearest articulation yet of where he’s headed. Following the run of early singles—“Desire,” “The Echo,” “My Melody,” and “Piece of Me”—the album sharpens its lens on closeness, longing, and the quiet negotiations of intimacy. The production is spacious but controlled: feathered vocal stacks, crisp percussive lines, and a grounding low-end pulse that keeps everything warm, human, and immediate. It’s an album that breathes, stretching outward in scope while staying anchored in emotional detail.
Created largely in Los Angeles using a single synthesizer, Always With Me signals a major shift in TEED’s creative practice. Shedding the maximalist tendencies of his early era, Orlando Higginbottom embraces a more vulnerable, distilled form of expression—one where clarity and feeling supersede spectacle. These songs sit in the tender spaces between desire and uncertainty, documenting the messy, luminous work of connection. The result is TEED’s most revealing and cohesive statement yet, a record that repositions him not just as an electronic innovator but as a deeply expressive songwriter in his own right.
