The title track from his forthcoming third solo album has been on repeat over here.
We honestly had this Instagram clip on repeat until we finally switched over to playing the full song loud — and it’s just beautiful. Everything about Sam Burton feels timeless. The LA singer-songwriter makes warm, understated folk that could have been recorded decades ago, but somehow feels completely authentic and of the moment. “Fairweather Friend” feels like one of those songs that will stick around, finding people when they need it and becoming part of their own stories along the way. It’s the title track from Burton’s third solo album, out October 30 on Captured Tracks. Check out the video.
